Wendy’s Night: This is a night where you and your family can help support Westwood by eating at Wendy’s in Ankeny from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Westwood will receive 10% of ALL SALES, dine-in or drive-through, during those hours. Wendy’s Night will be the first Tuesday of every month September 2011-May 2012. All dates for Wendy's Nights are posted on the Westwood Elementary Events page.

Fall Fundraiser/PTO Donation: A couple of years ago a survey was sent out to all Westwood parents regarding continuing with a fall fundraiser or moving towards a family PTO donation. Overwhelming the majority stated they would like to move towards a family PTO donation. So therefore, this year there will be no annual fall fundraiser. During the week of August 27 - September 10, donation letters will be sent home with your child. We are encouraging a family donation to the PTO so that we can continue to provide money for new library books, elmo machines, dollars for scholars, various classroom projects, field trips, field day, teacher appreciation, as well as any other needs that arise throughout the year that would benefit the teacher's ability to teach as well as our children's ability to learn.

Entertainment Books: Westwood will be selling Entertainment Books this year so save your money for this coupon book from Westwood students during the week of September 24 - October 4.
